On a Mission
The notion first struck Pete Shipps years ago, after completing a Luxury Hospitality project in Highlands, North Carolina, an area known for its mountainous terrain and oftentimes challenging weather conditions to buld in. An accomplished Builder and Real Estate Developer in his own right, and the Architectural Designer of the iconic Falls Cottages by Old Edwards Hospitality Group, Pete set out to overcome commonly faced on-site building challenges.
His goal was pragmatic and focused. Create the same superior Old Edwards standard of high quality design and construction off the mountain in a controlled environment, and deliver a completed build to the site. What evolved next stands to change the trajectory of multiple industries.
Pete soon discovered that the apparatus he needed to achieve his goal didn't exist. He further found that the Department of Transportation's height limitations, weight restrictions, and other constraints effectively controlled the narrative for off-site construction, transportation, and even real estate development.
Never satisfied with the status-quo, Pete endeavored to create a product and a system to overcome every barrier to his goal. He applied his expertise in Design and Construction, engaged a team of top Engineers, and reached his goal through sheer determination and doggedness. The result: A multi-faceted, universal cross-over product and system that redefines all narratives and creates new possibilities.
Then COVID arrived in full force and the world was forced to pause. Pete's own world came to a crashing halt as he battled critical COVID illness, extended hospitalization, and a complex recovery. His miraculous survival and recovery changed his family's life trajectory and life purpose.
These days the biggest motivator fueling Pete's mission to build beyond barriers is a life calling to utilize the very system he created to serve others in their own time of need. That realization signaled that it was time for his family's next chapter, and for the innovation's as well.
